Lurni — career intelligence platform with Career GPS
Lurni Team

Built on real experience

Lurni is built by people who changed careers, built skills from scratch, and combined real-world experience with technology and education.

Olha K.

Founder

Olha built her career across two fields — law and technology. She first earned a Master's degree in Law and spent 7 years in legal practice — starting as a prosecutor, followed by qualification as an advocate, and working across both criminal and civil law.

Over time, her focus shifted towards technology. She began learning programming independently, continued through formal training, secured her first role in tech, and later earned a BSc in Computer Science. She has now spent more than 8 years working in technology.

She went on to work as a Product Engineer, contributing to large-scale platforms — including systems used by millions at Lloyds Banking Group and Capgemini.

This transition was not straightforward — there was no clear system, no structured path, and little guidance on what was realistic. That experience shaped the foundation of Lurni.

Today, Olha leads Lurni end-to-end — driving product, technology, and overall business direction, and building a system that connects career decisions, skill development, and language learning into one structured, outcome-driven platform.

Julia Y.

Co-founder

Julia brings over 17 years of experience teaching English for real-life and professional use, working with an international client base.

She built and scaled her own online language school, helping more than 5,000 students develop practical communication skills they could apply in work and everyday life.

She moved beyond traditional teaching, designing outcome-driven programmes aligned with specific careers and industry requirements. This led to specialised courses such as English for Aviation — a programme recognised and funded through a UK grant for its practical, career-focused approach.

Alongside this, she built an extended network of qualified experts and established partnerships with educational institutions in multiple countries — connecting students with trusted professionals and enabling experts to share their knowledge at scale.

At Lurni, Julia leads the educational layer of the platform — building and scaling the expert ecosystem, onboarding and guiding professionals, shaping learning products, and co-creating educational materials aligned with real career outcomes.

Beyond the founding team

Lurni is built together with an extended network of experts — experienced professionals across the careers we support, educators, and specialists who contribute to how the system works.

We collaborate with real practitioners who bring current industry insight, alongside AI-driven systems and research inputs that help structure decisions, validate paths, and continuously improve the platform.

This combination ensures that Lurni is not based on theory — but on real-world experience, data, and ongoing refinement.

Our mission

Lurni's mission is to make career decisions feasible, structured, and outcome-driven.

We enable people to choose realistic, future-proof career paths and follow them through a clear, end-to-end system — with on-demand expert support and the language fluency those careers require.

So that more people can move into careers they actually want — without spending years on the wrong path, and without being limited by language when opportunities arise.
